ATV Crash Kills Centralia Man

One man died Saturday in an accident in Centralia involving an all-terrain vehicle, according to news reports.
The accident occurred when a 24-year-old Centralia man was riding an ATV around 6:20 p.m. in the 4900 block of Old Military Road when he reportedly lost control of the vehicle. He veered off the roadway and crashed into a tree, according to news reports.
The collision killed the man, who was riding a 2005 Honda TRX 450R all-terrain vehicle without a helmet. State troopers and medics arrived at the scene, where they pronounced the man dead at the scene.
“Making the decision to ride an ATV or motorcycle without a helmet is never a good idea,” Washington State Patrol said. “It’s not only the law but wearing a helmet could prevent tragedies like this from happening.”
As a Tacoma car accident attorney, I’m saddened to hear about this all-terrain vehicle accident. My condolences go out to this man’s friends and family during this difficult time.  I hope this crash reminds ATV and motorcycle riders to always wear a helmet, as it could help save their lives.
