Alcohol Blamed on Fatal Car Accident

One woman died Saturday morning in a car accident on Halverstick Road in Whatcom County, according to news reports.

The Lynden woman was driving westbound on the 1500 block of Halverstick Road around 3 a.m. when she lost control of her 2005 Dodge, according to news reports. Her vehicle rolled and struck a tree.

She died at the scene.

Washington State Patrol troopers said alcohol is believed to be a factor in the fatal car accident. It is unclear whether other factors such as speeding were also involved.

As a Seattle car accident attorney, it saddens me to hear about drivers being involved in a car accident, especially when drugs or alcohol is suspected to be involved. This accident probably wouldn’t have happened if the driver was in a sober state of mind. My condolences go out to this man’s family and friends who are affected by this accident. I urge drivers to always have a safe way home from a designated driver when they have been drinking. I’m glad to hear no one else was injured in this crash.
