22-Year-Old Causes Crashes, Flees Scene

A 22-year-old man is being accused of causing a multi-vehicle car accident in Marysville, then fleeing the scene, according to Washington state troopers.

According to news reports, the man was driving north of Marysville on Tuesday morning when his struck a barrier and bounced into traffic, crashing into a semi-truck and causing a four-car pileup. The 22-year-old then ran into nearby woods.  Troopers said speed was a likely factor in the collision.

State Patrol troopers were able to catch up to the 22-year-old, who was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, then booked into Snohomish County Jail, according to news reports. He did not have a valid driver’s license, according to news reports.

The other victims involved in the crash reported minor injuries.
