Wrong-Way Driver from Seattle Killed in Tragic Crash

The latest auto crash report to hit the news in Washington happened in Covington.

According to a series of news reports, a driver who drove the wrong direction on State Route 18 overnight was involved in a collision.

His vehicle had been traveling in the wrong direction at about 10 pm for about two miles before it hit a car near 272nd Street. Then, he crashed into another vehicle carrying a mother and three children. The family involved in the accident is fine, and no injuries were reported. But the driver in the vehicle traveling the wrong way was sent to the hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The driver was allegedly from Seattle, and officials have stated that the factors that led to the accident are still under investigation. Officials still do not know why he was going the wrong way on the freeway.

We are saddened that this tragic crash resulted in a fatality. And we hope that the authorities are able to determine what caused it. With these facts coming to light, more Seattle and, overall, more Washington drivers will learn how to avoid the same mistakes.
