Two People Killed In Semi Truck Accident, WSP Reports

Two Washingtonians have lost their lives in an accident involving a semi truck, officials have reported. This type of occurrence saddens us as most of these accidents are usually preventable.

The accident happened Friday. According to the Washington State Patrol, the 28-year-old driver was operating his car in the northbound lane of U.S. Route 195 when the vehicle started driving onto the shoulder. Eventually, the driver appeared to lost control over the vehicle, and it then crashed into a southbound semi truck.

The driver died while his 32-year-old passenger was rushed to the hospital. The driver died of his injuries at the hospital.

The semi driver was not injured.

This tragic accident is a reminder that there are many factors that may lead to accidents such as this. While we’re not sure what factor prompted this accident, we know that distraction, drowsiness, intoxication, speeding, and even equipment failure may all lead to similar accidents.

We hope that other drivers are learning from this tragic accident. We also hope that the victim’s family and friends are getting the support they require in this time of need.

We hope that WSP officials are able to identify the cause behind this accident so that other drivers may learn more on what they should avoid so they may prevent a similar accident.
