Tragic I-90 Crash Sends 18-Year-Old to Hospital

Auto crashes are hard to report on, mostly because we know the pain and suffering that families and victims go through as a result of these occurrences. When people are injured, they are often left behind with countless medical bills. In several cases, injuries are difficult to treat, and recovery may take up months and even years.

The latest piece of news related to an auto crash in the Washington state is one of these cases.

The crash happened on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 90. According to the reports, a semi truck and a car collided early in the morning this past Friday just past Issaquah. Witnesses claimed that the Toyota Camry driver had lost control of her vehicle moments before the crash, which prompted the driver to swerve across the freeway lanes. As a result, a semi truck crashed into the Toyota.

Officials are still investigating the crash. According to the reports, the 18-year-old Camry driver was sent to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Until more details on the factors that led to this crash are available, we should not speculate. Nevertheless, we hope that the victim of this crash is getting the treatment she needs to recover quickly.

We hope the victim’s family also has the support they deserve.

Witnesses to the crash are being urged to contact the authorities if they have any information that could help them understand what happened prior to this tragic collision.

If you’re a driver, keep accidents like this in mind and remember that there are certain steps you can take to avoid them.

Staying focused, making sure your vehicle is repaired whenever it’s the target of a recall, and never driving under the influence or while tired can help. Many Washington crashes are avoidable, and unfortunately, many of them result in serious injuries.
