Poulsbo DUI Accident Claims Life, Driver Arrested

According to a series of news reports, a deadly accident took place in Poulsbo, Washington, prompting an arrest

These types of accidents should never be ignored as many of them will take place because of a driver’s error. But sometimes, the error itself is something that drivers should never be engaging in the first place.

In this case, the accident happened when the driver believed it would be OK to drive under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The official report coming from the Washington State Patrol says that one person died as a result of the collision. A second driver was later arrested. Officials suspect the driver was under the influence.

While details regarding the tragic accident weren’t readily available, we know that the accident is under investigation and that it ended up closing Route 305 for an astounding five-hour period.

If you’re a driver and you value your safety as much as you value the safety of your loved ones, you will keep in mind that driving under the influence is the same as putting your life and the lives of countless others in grave, and sometimes deadly danger.

We are saddened that this accident in Washington resulted in a death and hope that anyone else who may have been injured is being able to recover fully. But we also urge our readers and clients to keep in mind that certain activities should never be pursued if you’re behind the wheel.

Drinking and then driving is one of them. But distractions and speeding are two activities that may result in similar consequences. Since distractions and speeding make it more difficult for drivers to respond to emergencies promptly, the results may be just as deadly.
