The 22-year-old woman was behind the wheel of her vehicle traveling at about 5 a.m. when her car went off the road. Due to this, the vehicle finally landed atop a highway barrier before it slammed into a pole. The Tacoma, Washington driver was, unfortunately, not protected by a seat belt at the time of the accident. As a result, the driver died due to the severity of her injuries.
Witnesses say that the vehicle was traveling normally until the car started to drift casually to the left shoulder.
The victim’s brother is a star player with the Boston Celtics and the organization issued a statement saying they are incredible saddened abut their player’s loss.
We, too, are terribly saddened but hopeful that more people are learning about the importance of proper seat belt use. If drivers aren’t careful and aren’t following the rules, they will be more likely to be involved in similar deadly accidents.
