Several Monday morning crashes have served as alerts to Washington residents: roads can be seriously dangerous when slick.

According to several local news sources, the Washington State Department of Transportation had to block all lanes of Highway 500 after a crash left a pole and its wires down to the ground.

A second accident caused by the slick roads happened after a vehicle flipped on a patch of the pavement that was covered with ice just north of Camas. The Washington State Patrol also reported a third accident on Northeast Bradford Road that left a passenger trapped in a vehicle that was found resting on its top. The authorities claimed the road was extremely slick due to the ice.
