Two people were injured in a car accident early Thursday on state Route 410 near Tacoma, according to news reports.
The accident occurred when a 21-year-old man was driving a Chevrolet Camaro eastbound on state Route 410 when he lost control of his vehicle and struck a guardrail near 244th Avenue Southeast, according to news reports. The Camaro then rotated and stopped on the westbound shoulder around 12:45 a.m.
The driver was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw. A 20-year-old female passenger was also injured and taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. The extent of their injuries or conditions is unknown.
The Camaro was “totaled and impounded as evidence,” troopers told news reports.
It is unclear exactly what caused the driver to crash. The accident is being investigated.
