Driver Allegedly Killed After Crash in Enumclaw, Passenger Taken to The Hospital

According to news sources and the Washington State Patrol, a 26-year-old man who was involved in a crash early Saturday morning in Enumclaw unfortunately passed away.

The young man was driving east on state Route 164 sometime after 1 a.m. Saturday. When he was east of Southeast 382nd Street, he crossed into the westbound lanes. The cause to his loss of control of the vehicle is unknown but after his crossing the car hit a few trees. The wreckage was allegedly discovered many hours later. The passenger was found hanging upside down while the driver was allegedly pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. According to the authorities, the woman is in a satisfactory condition.

The reports from the Washington State Patrol show that evidence from the accident area suggests that both victims were allegedly under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the crash.

As a Bellingham personal injury lawyer I hope that the woman who was rescued from this crash will recover in a timely manner. My heart and prayers go to the family of the man whose life was lost in this tragic crash.

I urge all readers never to drink and drive. Make sure you cannot get the keys to your car when you know you’re going to drink. Many personal injury lawyers will tell you that fatal accidents related to drinking and driving are tough ones to forget. Let road safety start with you, stay alert and don’t drink and drive.
